Our Treasure in Jesus

God, we love you! As your Church, help us do what it takes to let the people of Tunisia grasp the Good News that our redemption is IN Christ! (Romans 3:24)

Pray for a Tunisian Believer

A is young and intelligent. His friend, Y (see yesterday’s request), shared the gospel with him. Like Y, A is boldly sharing with the people around him. He is sharing with his fellow students at school, but, he is fearful to share with his family. A has been praying for discernment and recently shared with his aunt. She is interested and open. A’s aunt has abundant influence in their community. Pray that A’s aunt will accept Christ and that many others will follow!

Prayer for Boldness

“He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20 ESV). Lord Jesus, would you write the maranatha cry on the hearts of the church [in location] such that their lives and their words would raise up a shout in harmony: “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20) Grant each follower [in location] eternal hope in the glory of your return.

Pray for a Segment of Society

Those involved in witchcraft – “I’m so afraid,” Afef whispered tearily after confessing what was really going on in their home. For years, they had found magic curse notes buried in the garden, experienced unexplainable events… but her second teenaged daughter routinely collapsing under the weight of a demonic presence? It was too much. Nadia, a high school teacher, is also not a stranger to this dark world. Though she renounced the demonic gift-curse that followed her ancestral line, the ramifications of coming from a family of ‘seers’ has never felt heavier. Her young son can’t focus on his studies with the frequent apparitions of Satan, and now that their Christian neighbours moved to another community, they felt they were no longer under the protection of “their Spirit” and decided to also move house to avoid yet another nearby resident wanting to hurt them through black magic. The devil’s influence knows no socioeconomic boundaries, nor does he respect education levels. Even those working high profile careers are known to visit witch doctors who often promise results through a sort of Qu’ranic magic. These costly bondages have devastating effects and freedom can only come through receiving the Holy Spirit of Jesus. Pray fervently for spiritual walls to be torn down so that love, freedom, and joy can flow!
